Zakat fitrah 11:11 pm

Dear Bella,

This year is my first year of paying zakat since I had started working full time. As I am the one who is giving financial help for my parents who are retired, I feel it is my duty as an unwed daughter to contribute for my family zakat. Now that I have paid my zakat, I feel as if a burden has lifted from my shoulder and feel blessed.

Hope I can continue paying zakat for my parents and make this as a ritual for life.

I know that my parents feel proud and overwhelmed that I am paying for them as they were shocked regarding my decision.

To mama and abah,

Thank you for bringing me up with love and care. I will never forget your dedication for bringing me up in your early and late forties. I feel that is it now my duty to look after you.

Love from your youngest daughter,
Faiza
